Safinah is the CEO of MyPOWER Corporation, a special-purpose energy reform agency under the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources in Malaysia.

She is a passionate advocate for sustainability, responsible investing, and innovation, with a diverse background in policy, strategy, governance, software engineering, and network operations gained through a career spanning telecommunication, technology, digital economy, and investment sectors.

Prior to MyPOWER, she was in Khazanah Nasional, Malaysia’s sovereign investment fund, where she implemented the sustainable investing agenda as part of her role in strategic planning and portfolio management, collaborating with several global organizations and sovereign funds, institutional investors, corporations, and regulators on various aspects from strategy and measurement models to policy and advocacy.

Safinah holds master’s degrees from Harvard University and Universiti Teknologi Malaysia respectively, and a bachelor’s degree from Multimedia University Malaysia.
