Surendra Rosha is Co-Chief Executive of The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited alongside David Liao.

Mr Rosha is a member of HSBC’s Group Executive Committee and serves as an Executive Director on the Board of The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited. He sits on the board of other entities with the HSBC Group, including Executive Director of HSBC Bank Malaysia Berhad and Non-Executive Director of HSBC Global Asset Management Limited.

Mr Rosha joined HSBC as a graduate trainee in 1991 and has since held several senior positions within the Global Banking and Markets, including Head of Global Markets in Indonesia in 2005 and Head of Institutional Sales, Asia-Pacific in 2007. He was appointed Chief Executive, HSBC India from 2018 to 2021. Prior to that, he was Head of Financial Institutions Group (FIG) for Asia-Pacific.

Mr Rosha is the Vice Chair of the Glasgow Financial Alliance for Net Zero (GFANZ) Asia-Pacific (APAC) Workstream on the “”Managed Phaseout of Coal Power Generation in APAC””. He is also a member of the of Advisory Board of the Lee Kong Chian School of Business, Singapore Management University.

Mr Rosha holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad.
